This omni-directional bayonet LED uses the latest and brightest emitters for an incredibly impressive output. The technology includes our 10-30VDC constant-current chipset combined with the latest 2835 format LEDs encased in a thermally conductive aluminum shell. At 100 lumens per Watt, this is one of the most efficacious products that we offer, putting out 300 real world lumens in Warm White.
This bulb is intended for large open fixture, like wall sconces and candelabras which need LOTS of light. It features a special thermal foldback feature to protect the life of the bulb, so it should not be used in small enclosed fixtures.
This bulb replaces 1156, 1141 and 1142 incandescent bulbs and is able to outperform incandescent bulbs up to 20W without any worry of size or brightness.
We recommend that this bulb be used in open fixtures, or larger fixtures which have a large enough area inside to handle a bulb this powerful to avoid overheating. The lamp itself is designed as a heat sink, but must have sufficient air around it to convect the heat away from the bulb. The lamp includes a thermal foldback feature which protects the LEDs from overheating which prolongs the lifespan in inappropriate fixtures.
